IMPORTANT: All Missouri real estate licenses expire every EVEN NUMBERED YEAR at the close of the business day as follows:
- Brokers: June 30
- Salespersons: September 30
Before you can renew your license, you are required to complete 12 hours of MREC approved continuing education, AT LEAST 3 hours of which must be in a course designated as a "core" course. The remaining 9 hours can be in elective OR core courses.
To continue working in real estate the day after your license expires, your license must have been renewed. Mailing your renewal in before the deadline DOES NOT mean that it has been renewed. If your renewed license is not posted on the MREC's Website or in the hands of your broker, then you must cease all real estate brokerage activity until it has been officially renewed.
